The Pierce’s Disease Control Program (PDCP) provides training annually to county inspectors and others to stop the spread of the glassy-winged sharpshooter (GWSS). So far this year, PDCP staff provided nursery and detection trapping training to over 100 county agricultural inspectors in Northern California.
The training included:
An overview of the PDCP, GWSS, and Pierce’s disease
Nursery trapping, inspection procedures, and shipping protocols
